Join us at ATOMIC Ballroom for a FREE Balboa Dance Bootcamp with Nikki & Mikey on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 12:15 PM to 2:15 PM. This beginner-friendly workshop is a fun, welcoming way to learn about Balboa, meet new people, and experience a dance that’s smooth, fast, connected, and totally addictive. Nikki and Mikey will guide you through the basics in a way that’s approachable, encouraging, and easy to follow, so you can come in curious and leave feeling accomplished. No pressure, no experience needed, and it’s free to attend.

Balboa is a swing dance with its own style. Originating in Southern California, it’s known for its close connection, stylish footwork, musicality, and effortless-looking movement. During this two-hour bootcamp, you’ll learn the core elements of the dance, including rhythm, connection, movement techniques, and beginner patterns that help you start dancing right away. The goal is to get you moving, feeling confident, and having fun while grasping the basics of Balboa in a practical way. You don’t need a partner, dance experience, or special gear to participate. Just wear comfortable clothes, bring shoes you can move in, and come ready to try something new.

Balboa is a swing dance that works beautifully with faster music, but it is also just a blast to dance once you start to understand the basics. It has a sleek, playful look and a connected feeling that makes it different from other swing styles.
