Dancing with the Stars fans all aboard! Get out those sequins and glitter and get ready to sashay your way down the promenade as Dancing With the Stars makes its way to Orange County!

The touring stage production of DWTS will be at Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts in Costa Mesa on Tuesday, February 12, 2017.
If you think that this may not be your cup of tea, think again, and stop to consider that you likely know someone who would enjoy it. In fact, after being on the air for more than a decade, staring 261 celebrities from all areas of sports and entertainment, and featuring musical performances by some of the most legendary artists of all time, DWTS has a little something for everyone. Where else can you see a football themed dance number performed by a group of all star NFL athletes along side a politician like Governor Rick Perry and followed by mini performance from big pop stars like Taylor Swift and Pitbull? Due to the tremendously diverse representation of talent, there is some aspect that is sure to appeal to just about everyone.

This, along with the novelty of watching others do everyday things that make us feel good is just one of the reasons why this show has lasted on television so long. It’s not just about dancing, rather also about watching an inspiring transformation take place in front of our very eyes. While some of the celebrities on the show are experienced performers, others like race car driver Helio Castroneves or Kelly Osborne (daughter of rock icon Ozzy Osborne), had never danced before, much less set foot on such a stage. So to watch them start out with two left feet, while almost painfully struggling through routines, only to grow into accomplished showmen displaying such dramatic physical and emotional transformations, has touched the hearts of millions. This, along with the star power and of course dancing, has created such ravenous fans that a stage version of the show was created to tour the country while the TV show is on break. That way fans never have to go too long without getting their dancing fix.

Faithful viewers of this ballroom dance television show know how difficult, seemingly almost impossible it is to score tickets to the taping of the popular TV show. While thousand of fans sign up on a sort of waiting list for tickets, some wait years to get them, while most never receive that chance at all. The studio seating is limited and often reserved for former celebrity contestants and the entourages of current competing celebrities.  This limits the amount of seats open to the public. And with show taping days cut down from two to just one day a week, this of course greatly reduces the opportunities for viewing. So to be able to easily snag tickets to the stage production of the show is a special treat for fans who have been waiting a long time to view the show live.

Dancing With the Stars: Live is currently touring throughout America and Canada and makes its way to Pasadena on February 12, Riverside on February 13th and its final show in Costa Mesa on February 14th. Seeing that this falls on Valentines Day, it makes a perfect date night out for anyone who enjoys high flying entertainment.

This season’s cast features ten current pros from the television show, along with Olympic gymnastics champion Laurie Hernandez, who along with her partner Val Chmerkovskiy, are the reigning champions of DWTS. Like the TV show, this live stage show promises to be full of excitement, high flying movement, and of course fun, sparkling costumes. Get your tickets while they’re hot and still available!
