He's got a situation.

He's got a situation.

I can hardly type this for sheer excitement.  Yes, that’s right – The Situation has officially been eliminated from DWTS! After an abysmal tango that was all showy lifts and absolutely no tango steps whatsoever, I have to hand it to his partner, Karina Smirnoff, for playing to his abs…err, his strengths.  And he definitely had no trouble lifting her and swinging her around the stage, but that’s really all he could do.  This week the viewers saw it, too – and I am all of a sudden a really big fan of the smaller stage and closer proximity.  But I’m not all sour grapes.  These two were well-matched as partners, they worked well together, and Mike did have the courtesy to say that he considered their dance a success because his partner was safe and sound after all their technical lifts, and I can’t say that he disrespected his dance partner in any way (unlike Brandy, who blamed her dance partner for her low scores during the jive during Week 2.).

Next week I think Bristol is probably going to be the next to go, but we’ll see how Florence performs (although I have to say, I hope I’m that sexy when I’m her age!  Her rumba was so smokin’ she made the judges blush).

You can watch any episode you’ve missed online here – and next week the competition will only get tougher.
