Will Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas be voted off next?

This week’s DWTS had dancers dancing the samba, the waltz, or the foxtrot while simultaneously telling a story with their dance.

The dances ranged from the wow (Audrina Patridge, Kurt Warner, Kyle Massey and Jennifer Grey) to the “wha?” (Bristol Palin and Margaret Cho).  Margaret, darling, I’m pulling for you– but your dance didn’t tell a story, and you had a built-in story in your song (“Copacabana” by Barry Manilow – and really, how can you mess up dancing to this song?).

Sadly I think that the judges would have scored her better had they understood what she was trying to convey story-wise, but her samba was too over the top and sloppy.

Audrina and partner Tony Dovolani danced a beautiful waltz, weaving the dance steps in with the story of a girl wishing to connect with her lost Marine one last time.  They earned the highest score of the night with 26 points and deservedly so.  Kurt Warner and Rick Fox prove that these guys know how to move, and I’m ecstatic to see that this season there are more than a few dancers vying for the top spot.

But for me, the real entertainment was watching Mike and Karina dance – I just couldn’t stop laughing.   Ballroom dancing and fist pumps just don’t go together.  Check out last night’s episode to see what I mean.

Here’s last night’s leaderboard – and tonight we’ll see who’s leaving the dance floor (please let it be Mike, please let it be Mike, please let it be Mike…).

Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani – 26
Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough – 24
Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy – 24
Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke – 24
