💃 Swing Dance Class for Beginners – No Partner Needed
Kick off the evening at 7:45 PM with a fun and friendly Intro to Swing Dance Class, perfect for first-timers and returning dancers looking to brush up on their basics. No experience required—just bring your energy and get ready to move!
🎷 Live Swing Music from Jonathan Stout and his Campus Five ft. Hilary Alexander
At 9:00 PM, the dance floor comes alive with the electrifying sounds of Jonathan Stout and his Campus Five, one of the top live swing bands for dancers. With authentic swing-era arrangements and expert musicianship, this group will keep you dancing all night long.
🏆 The Very SoCal Classic Contest
Ready to hit the floor and show off your swing? The Very SoCal Classic is a couples-only contest that celebrates musicality, vintage style, and partner connection—all set to live music you can’t help but dance to.
Prelims will be danced in heats, with each group swinging out to at least three mid-tempo songs (150–180 BPM). This is a Lindy Hop contest. Air steps, slides, & drops are allowed. Judges will be looking for rhythm, style, and chemistry.
The top couples will move on to the finals, where things get exciting—each pair takes the spotlight and performs one at a time to the live sound of Jonathan Stout and his Campus Five. This is your moment to shine with the band behind you and the crowd in front of you!
