Swingin' The Blues West Coast Swing

Every Thursday at 8:30 PM

It's a party!

Thursday nights are home to our wildly successful West Coast Swing dance, hosted by champion dancers Ben MorrisMalia San Nicolas, and Demetre Souliotes.  With resident expert teachers (ranked top in the world) and mind-blowing guest teachers and DJ's, "Swingin’ The Blues" draws dancers from all over Southern California.

West Coast Swing is the official state dance of California, and is a cool and contemporary form of swing that can be danced to modern music. It’s smooth, tight, and bluesy, and our Thursday nights have soul. If you love hip-hop, R&B, top 40, or blues, West Coast Swing is your kind of dance.

We have drop-in beginner classes that cover a rotating series of topics, so stay in them until you’ve got your basics down. Then move up to our intermediate and advanced classes, that introduce more complicated patterns, musicality, and improvisation.

West Coast Swing is a party night at ATOMIC - anything that brings in this many food trucks has to be fun. There’s often live music, special events, and guest DJs playing the newest music at the coolest venue in town.

Swingin’ The Blues:

  • $8 (may change on special event nights)
  • $12-$15 with live music or $2-$5 with a class, next Live Music July 20th, 2017
