Melaina Larson is a professional Ballroom dancer, currently competing in the American Smooth division. She has been a world finalist in the open American Smooth and the U.S. National Champion in rising star American Smooth. She has been an open professional finalist in nearly every major dancesport competition in the U.S. Additionally, she teaches all styles of Ballroom dance in Orange County, CA, and actively competes on the U.S. Pro/Am circuit with her students. She is a faculty member in the Dance Department at Chapman University in Orange, CA, teaching Ballroom classes. Melaina studied classical Ballet for 12 years and has competed in figure skating. She holds a B.S. in Sociology and a minor in Ballroom Dance from Brigham Young University, and an M.P.A. in Public Management from the University of the District of Columbia.
