As we settle into the new year with renewed goals and aspirations in the forefront of our minds, for many, love and romance take over, with Valentines Day just around the corner and spring nearly upon us. Why speed date when you can ‘speed’ dance?
Rather than go out with an expectation of trying to meet your match in an instant, you could take one of Atomic’s stellar dance classes and learn something new while meeting a lot of great people at once. In class you can rotate partners, (which is optional, however, the best way to meet a lot of people in a short amount of time), allowing you to interact with other students. If you choose to stay after class for the social dancing (which I highly recommend), you can practice your new moves and techniques while mingling with other participants. You never know who you might connect with!
Some social dances (such as Tango and Ballroom) organize special “mixer” dances to randomly pairs participants so each person may dance with various partners for a series of songs; This relieves the pressure of having to formally ask someone to dance or having to wait to be asked.
When you consider the fact that all types of people frequent Atomic Ballroom – from students to professionals, youth to seniors, accomplished professional dancers to new students and everything in between – the likelihood of meeting someone special greatly increases by just walking through the front door.

The well air conditioned, two-story studio becomes even more inviting with it’s family friendly atmosphere, where cake, coffee and other treats are often available to celebrate the birthdays of staff and extended Atomic-family. Atomic Ballroom is ideally suited for making those genuine human connections.
It also relieves some of the expectation and awkwardness that is inevitable with many dating services and singles clubs, which can also feel like high pressure meat markets to some. And unlike in many of these places, most Atomic patrons actually come to dance and learn from some of the best instructors around. And for those who are newly single or aren’t looking to re-join the dating pool just yet, you’re guaranteed to at least make a few new friends.
