Bal Rendezvous kicks off next week on March 31 in San Diego. Dancers will be treated to lessons and workshops from some of the world’s top bal dancers, and will then dance the night away to the stellar sounds of Southern California, including Jim Ziegler’s Swingsations and the Solomon Douglas Swingtet. The event ends on Sunday, April 3 at the historic Balboa Pavillon for dinner and dancing.
Bal Rendezvous is also home to the International Balboa Championships. The competitions take place over the course of the weekend, with the finals happening Sunday night, and they are so much fun to watch.
ATOMIC’S very own Laura Keat and Jeremy Otth will be teaching as well, so make sure you hop into their class (or preferably bal!). If you don’t make it to their class, just make sure you catch a glimpse of them dancing – they’re the bee’s knees!Check out last year’s highlights video – and then go out and dance! If you have registered yet, today is the last day to do so. At the very least, make sure you get a dance pass and come down to dance the night away.
